Your Role

We aim to support you in your professional role.

Whatever role you take we can support your professional development.

From helping to make your career progression easier to allowing professional working in education and training to define goals for their own professional development and keeping track of progress towards those goals.

Teachers thinking about your next step

Are you thinking about your next step? just been promoted to a new role? looking to learn more about a particular aspect of your practice? or do you want to get credit for a school-based project you are undertaking? There are six main routes in our programme, and opportunities to take some of your study from other routes so you can really support your individual professional career path. (link to routes page)

You don't necessarily need to come to SHU to study with us. We run Professional Learning in the Workplace modules in some schools were you are supported in undertaking a school -based project. Successful completion of the module also gives you TLA (Teacher Learning Academy) recognition. Ask your CPD co-coordinator if this is available in your school.
